March 30, 2008 - First, let me apologize for taking so long to put this website back up. Excuses are tools of the incompetent so I won’t give you one, but I am happy to have shared what I hope you have found to be a wonderful experience with you. Last month, I released Hold On Be Strong as Book #7 in the series. Some of you remember the story and also remember the soap opera that went along with it. For those of you who haven’t read the book, you are in for a treat as this book tell the story of Second (from WORTH FIGHTING 4 & ROLLIN’ WIT THE PUNCHES) and his three half brothers, Hope, Passion and Love. Second and Brenda are still together… sort of and Moesha is still causing problems. Check out the book. The last book in the “Hold On Be Strong Series,” Rollin’ Wit the Punches has been pushed back to November 4, 2008. Some of ya’ll are thinking… “dang Jay, that is more than six months away!” This is the deal. Me and my team had one more look over of the book before the book was to go to the printer and we agreed that there are things about the book I could make better. I feel that I have set a standard with this series and I refuse to give you anything less than what I would give myself. But I promise you, you will love this book as you have the others in the series. As my original eight book commitment to this series comes to an end, I have enjoyed the numerous emails and letters I have received from teachers and students alike. Many of you have asked for me to continue the series past Book #8. While I will not rule that out, I have found that young adult fiction has become my new first love (after Jesus and family of course). I like it here as it is so much peaceful and all of the authors here are working toward a common goal, which is to promote and advocate for literacy among the youth. My next book is not supposed to be apart of the "Hold On Be Strong Series" however, I feel that you will enjoy it as much as you have enjoyed the series. I just want to thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin, book by book. I don’t think I can thank ya’ll, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit enough. I really appreciate all that all of you have and continue to do for me. In Unity,
Jarold Imes
